Agent for TradingView (“we,” “our,” or “the extension”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how the Chrome extension collects, uses, and safeguards your information.

Information We Collect

Chart Screenshots

When you use the extension’s capture feature, a screenshot of your current browser tab is taken using the chrome.tabs.captureVisibleTab API. This screenshot is injected directly into the AI chat interface you have open in another tab (ChatGPT, Claude.ai, or Google Gemini). We do not store, transmit to our servers, or view these screenshots. The data flow is entirely within your browser.

Usage Data

The extension stores a local count of chart injections performed (an integer) in chrome.storage.local to determine when to display license reminder prompts. This count is stored entirely on your device and is never transmitted externally.

License Keys

If you purchase a license, your license key is stored locally in chrome.storage.sync and verified via the Gumroad API. The license key is sent to Gumroad’s servers solely for validation purposes. We do not store your license key on our own servers.

Extension Settings

Your preferred AI platform and custom prompt templates are stored in chrome.storage.sync. This data is synced by Chrome across your signed-in devices, subject to Google’s privacy policy. We never access this data from our servers.

Information We Do NOT Collect

  • We do not collect personal information (name, email, address, etc.).
  • We do not use cookies or tracking mechanisms.
  • We do not collect analytics, telemetry, or usage statistics.
  • We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties.
  • We do not operate servers that receive chart screenshots or AI chat content.
  • We do not require any user accounts or sign-ups.
  • We do not store or process API keys (this extension does not require API keys).

How Your Data Is Processed

When you inject a chart into an AI chat:

  1. The extension captures a screenshot of your TradingView tab using Chrome’s native API.
  2. The screenshot and your analysis prompt are injected directly into the message input field of the AI chat interface (ChatGPT, Claude.ai, or Gemini) running in your browser.
  3. When you send the message, it goes from your browser directly to the AI provider’s servers (OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google), subject to their respective privacy policies.
  4. No data passes through our infrastructure at any point.

The extension works with the following AI chat platforms. Each operates under its own privacy policy. By using the extension to inject charts into these services, you agree to their terms:

Data Retention

Because we do not operate any servers that receive your data, there is no server-side data to retain. Data stored locally in Chrome storage persists until you uninstall the extension or clear it manually.

Children’s Privacy

The extension is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has used this extension, please contact us.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by the updated date at the top of this page. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
